Joel Davis, Youth Director

My name is Joel Davis, I grew up in Powder Springs, Georgia. My junior year in High School I felt God calling me to the ministry but few months went by and I started to get scared and I didn’t want to do what God was calling me to do so I decided to run from Him just as Jonah did. I didn’t get swallowed by a whale but God finally got my attention and I decided that it was best that I follow what God had planned out for my life rather then me choosing what was best for me. About 4 years ago I decided it would be best for me to go to a bible college to fulfill what God had called me to do. I have always been taught from my father that a call to ministry is a call to prepare. I graduated from Boyce College and Jeremiah 29:11 has also been a verse that I have always followed!

Gayle Coombs, Children's Director

I joined First Baptist Church of Dallas church October 2006 with husband Joe.  We felt the Lord wanted us to be a part of this wonderful group of believers in Christ and serve in any area that is needed within our church and community.  One of the promises that the bible reviles in raising our children is in Proverbs 22:6 – “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.” I believe with our time on Sunday and Wednesday we need to share God’s truth in words and action.  Since joining FBCDALLAS I have worked Vacation Bible School, Extended Care on Sunday Morning and the Fall Festivals.  When you bring your child to be with us, I want you to know that they are loved for who they are and we will share the stories of our loving Lord and keep them safe while learning with us.
